Application | trimethyl cyanurate can be used as pharmaceutical synthesis intermediates, and organic synthesis intermediates, mainly used in laboratory research and development and chemical pharmaceutical synthesis process. |
preparation | cyanuric chloride (92G, 0.5mol) was added at a temperature of 0-5 °c. To a mixture of NaOH(60g,1.5mol) and MeOH (ML) was added in small portions. After addition of all cyanuric chloride, the mixture was stirred at 20 °c for 2 hours. The solvent was evaporated in vacuo and the distillation residue was suspended in H2O(500ml). The product was aspirated, washed with H2O(2 x 40ml), and dried at room temperature under pressure. 2,4, 6-trimethoxy-1, 3, 5-triazine of formula VIIa (79G, 92%) was obtained as a colorless solid. |
